Kane’s dad, Craig, was reluctant to come to a hospice, but in the end Demelza’s care meant everything to him.

For SEL Lead Nurse Megan, it was a privilege to care for Kane during end of life, working with his whole family to support them in their darkest days. 

Senior Registered Nurse Jess was honoured to be part of Kane’s whole journey – from first meeting him before his diagnosis to caring for him at end of life. 

Kane’s nan, Kathy, was able to stay with Kane at Demelza too, meaning the whole family could be together. 

Music therapist Pete used music to create a soothing soundscape for Kane, helping him relax, connect and explore his own form of voice. 

For Kane’s mum Kerri, accepting Demelza’s support allowed her to finally just be mum.
