The Families Voice group is made up of parent carers that want to make a change and improve Demelza’s services so that they work for the majority.
Your unified voice
The Families Voice is Demelza's parent carer group. They hold meetings where feedback can be discussed in more detail and a representative from Demelza can make sure that this has been taken further.
You don’t have to come along to meetings to get involved, there will also be social get-togethers for you to enjoy together or you can just send the group your feedback and receive regular updates by email.

Families Exploration Day 2024
Save the date for the Families Exploration Day on Thursday 16 May 2024!
The group are planning a day for parent carers to come along and find out about the services that Demelza offers, join helpful workshops and meet other families. They would love your help and ideas on what you would like to see in terms of workshops.

"By sharing our own lived experience and that of other families, we help to ensure that Demelza’s services meet the needs of all families. The Families Voice group links into the decision makers of Demelza; sharing views, asking questions and being listened to.
"We ensure feedback from families is heard and responded to. A recent example is #FestiveWishes gifts for the children. Due to feedback received from families, we will now recieve advance notice of delivery days, a choice of gifts that are suitable for each child and gifts for all children including siblings up to the age of 18.
"The Families Voice group is open to all parents and carers and any time you can offer - no matter how small - would be welcome."
Organising your own meet up
From January 2024 we will be swapping out our regular Demelza café meet-ups with quarterly family catch-ups with a member of Demelza's senior leadership team. If you would be interested in arranging more regular catch ups then please get in touch with the engagement team. We will help you advertise these to other families in your area. ☕
