Demelza scratchcards

Scratchcards may only be purchased and played by people aged 18 or over. Proof of age may be required at the point of purchase or when claiming a prize.

Scratchcards are only available for sale within Great Britain. Purchases or claims made outside this region will be considered invalid.

Demelza is committed to providing a responsible gambling environment and while participation in a society lottery offers the lowest risk of problem gambling, we recognise some players are unable to enjoy participation in such activity.

Winning scratchcards must be surrendered to claim any prize. All winners must complete the claim form on the back of the card in BLOCK CAPITALS.

Prizes of £10 or less: These may be claimed from your local Demelza shop, or by completing the address panel and returning the winning card to: Demelza, Rook Lane, Bobbing, Sittingbourne, ME9 8DZ.

Prizes over £10: Must be claimed by completing the address panel and returning the winning card to the above address. Prizes will be paid by cheque or bank transfer. Payments will be made within 21 days of receipt and successful validation.

Stolen, torn or defaced scratchcards will be void. Demelza accepts no responsibility for lost or delayed claims. Proof of posting is not proof of delivery; recorded or special delivery is recommended.

The final date for scratchcard sales is January 31 2028. Claims must be made within a reasonable time after this date, subject to validation.

The odds of winning a prize is 1 : 4.49

The maximum number of cards that can be purchased at one time is 10.

All prizes are non-transferable and must be claimed by the individual named on the winning card.

All winning cards are subject to validation testing. Demelza reserves the right to withhold payment if fraud or tampering is suspected.

Any complaints relating to the scratchcards should in the first instance be referred to the lottery and gaming team by email to lottery@demelza.org.uk, by telephone to 01795 845222 or by post to Demelza, Rook Lane, Bobbing, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 8DZ.

We will aim to respond within three working days of receipt. In circumstances where a complaint cannot be immediately resolved then it will be referred to the Senior Lottery and Gaming Manager. Should the complaint not be satisfied at this point then it will be escalated to the next leadership level.
