Work with us

Working together
to make a difference

At Demelza we are committed to providing the best care and support for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families.

Without the commitment and professionalism of our staff, we would not be able to provide the full range of much needed services. We currently employ more than 300 full and part time staff in a variety of professional disciplines.

Whatever role you take on, whatever your skills or specialism, this is your chance to make a difference to the lives of children and families at Demelza.

Nursing recruitment events

We will be holding two open days very soon to give you the opportunity to speak to our nurses about what it’s like to be part of #TeamDemelza, tour our facilities, see what our residential buildings have to offer to children, young people and their families, as well as find out more about the wider support and therapies we offer.

These events are being held on:
Friday 2 June
Demelza South East London
2pm and 6pm

Monday 19 June
Demelza Kent
2pm and 6pm
To register your place please contact Sophie LaHaye, HR Assistant – or call 01795 845182

Who we are looking for

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated professionals who want to help us make precious moments and memories for those we care for. We recruit the highest calibre people with the right skills and attributes to be part of our team.

Learning and development

At Demelza we recognise the importance of supporting, training and developing our people so that they can reach their full potential. We offer continuous learning and development opportunities to both paid staff and volunteers in addition to many other benefits.

We offer generous staff benefits including a competitive salary, 28 days’ holiday plus bank holidays which increases with long service, a contributory pension scheme (or NHS pension for those already contributing), a death in service payment, childcare vouchers, practical and financial assistance with relocation for nursing posts.

As a charity providing care for children, young people and families, we have a duty of care to ensure all employees share Demelza’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All job offers are therefore subject to the satisfactory receipt of references, new employee screening checks, verification of any professional qualifications and DBS clearance.
