Supporters invited to summer garden party to learn more about Demelza East Sussex

Entrance to Demelza East Sussex Community Hub with bright signage and accessible pathway, inviting visitors in.

Supporters and residents who want to find out more about the support Demelza provides in East Sussex are invited to a summer garden party.

The charity will host the event at its community hub in St Leonards on Saturday 6 June.

The charity offers a community hospice at home service, providing therapies, short breaks and end of life care in the comfort of a child’s own home across the county. Specialist nurses also provide care and support in other community settings.

The site in St Leonards has accessible facilities including a sensory room and activity room and garden party guests will be invited to have a tour of the building.

Visitors will be invited to enjoy the site’s beautiful garden, meet the brilliant team of staff and volunteers and learn more about Demelza and how it supports families in the area.

There will also be light refreshments, garden games and activities for all ages.

Demelza’s Area Fundraising Manager, Katie Hook, said: “We’re really excited to be opening the doors to our community hub in East Sussex.

“It’s a glorious time of year to come and explore our beautiful garden and we would love people to come and find out more about the incredible work our nurses do to support children and families in the local area.”

The event is free and on from 10am to 2pm. People are encouraged to preregister so the team can ensure catering is correct.
