Supporters encouraged to join colourful new fundraiser

Demelza is encouraging supporters to join in with its colourful new fundraiser – Rainbow Run.

The exciting event will take place at Avery Hill Park in Eltham on Sunday 6 September.

Whether you run, walk, dance or toddle round, this feel-good fun run will create family memories you can treasure.

There are two waves, at 10am and 11am, and early bird tickets start at £4 for under twos, with family tickets available for £38.

Rainbow runners will loop the fully accessible course twice, powering through fantastic colour stations before claiming your well-earned medal at the finish line.

And the fun doesn’t stop there. An event village will be buzzing with family-friendly entertainment including food stalls, glitter tattoos and lots of colourful merchandise.

Participants are asked to try and make every step count and raise at least £15 in sponsorship, which will help Demelza continue supporting children and families in your local area.

Demelza’s Senior Events Manager, Anna Watson, said: “Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a memorable family day out, our Rainbow Run is accessible for all ages and abilities.

“Events like this are about so much more than crossing the finish line. They also bring people together and create lasting memories, as well as raising vital funds for Demelza.

“More than ever, we’re relying on our amazing local communities to support us so we can continue providing expert clinical care and support to children and families who need us.”
