Give dad the gift of a fun family day out this Father’s Day at Demelza’s Bubble Rush
For a different type of Father's Day gift, treat him to a great family day out at Demelza's Bubble Rush, where dads get in for free.
Participants can run, walk, dance, wheel or toddle their way through the unique family fun run at Mote Park in Maidstone on Sunday 21 June, where they will loop round the course twice and power through four-foot walls of colourful foam.
There will be great photo opportunities throughout this fun-filled, colour-packed course as you share moments with all the family.
To motivate those taking part, Boogie Tots Maidstone will be doing a warm-up, samba band Bloco Fogo will get everyone ready at the start line and the Maidstone Rock Choir will also be on hand to keep participants going around the course. The course is designed for everyone, regardless of age or ability and is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
But the fun doesn’t stop at the finish line – there will be an exciting event village for some delicious food and refreshments and a host of entertainment. You can also get a glitter tattoo or bubble hair and buy some great merchandise.
Tickets cost £14 for adults with a dads go free option and £10 for children, which includes a Bubble Rush t-shirt and a well-earned medal to claim at the finish line. It costs £4 for under twos, who will receive a medal. Each participant is asked to raise £15. There will be three waves, departing at 10am, 11am and midday.
Money raised will help Demelza continue to provide expert clinical care, emotional support and practical help to children with serious or life-limiting conditions, and their families.
Demelza’s Senior Events Manager, Anna Watson, said: “Bubble Rush is one of our most popular fundraising events, and we’re delighted it’s back for 2026 and will be bursting with colour, laughter and bubbles.
“If you’re struggling with what to get your dad for Father’s Day this year, a family day out enjoying the soapy fun at Bubble Rush could be the perfect gift.
“Everyone who takes part in events like these makes a big impact on the lives of children with serious or life-limiting conditions, and their families, who use our services.”
