Eye care voucher scheme

All our staff can claim a free eye test and a £49 contribution towards glasses if they’re needed for screen use, every two years.

Things change, so if you need to review your working pattern, we’re here to help and consider all requests in line with our flexible working procedure.

Generous annual leave and buy/sell scheme

Our staff enjoy a minimum of 36 days annual leave each year, including bank holidays, increasing with length of service. You can buy and sell extra days too.

Pay enhancements for unsocial care hours

We care 24/7, so our work can include unsocial hours and our pay enhancements recognise this hard work.

Demelza enhanced maternity pay

Families are what we’re all about, so eligible employees qualify for our enhanced maternity pay. 

Palliative care nurse retention payment scheme

Palliative nurses who reach Band 5 qualify for an additional 5% of contracted basic pay.

Tech scheme

We offer a 0% interest loan scheme for employees wishing to purchase new devices, such as laptops and tablets.

Cycle2work scheme

You can save with the Government salary sacrifice scheme.

Supervision and line management meetings

We hold regular line management one to one meetings to regularly review learning, development and support opportunities.

From our hospices and offices to our shops, employee wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do and is supported by our comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

Death in service benefit

A death in service benefit of three times your annual salary is available for non-NHS pension members, from the first day of employment up until you reach 75.

Annual volunteering day

You can volunteer for another department at Demelza or another good cause.

Free tea and coffee

Everyone needs a break and a nice hot cuppa is important too. They’re on us. 

Occupational sick pay scheme

No one should have to worry if they’re unwell. At Demelza our people receive occupational sick pay, so they can focus on recovery.

Free parking 

Our people can park for free at our sites in Sittingbourne, Kent and St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex.

NHS pension

If you’re a member of the NHS pension scheme and have contributed in the last 12 months, you can choose to remain in the scheme during your employment with us.

Non-NHS pension scheme

If you don’t have an NHS pension, you’ll be automatically enrolled in the Demelza pension scheme, following your first three months in post.
