Demelza to open new distribution centre and one of their biggest ever charity shops

A fantastic site has been secured in the heart of Larkfield for a new distribution centre and one of Demelza's biggest charity shops yet. Stock from a range of pre-loved items will be up for grabs including furniture, homeware, clothing, media, accessories and more.

Opening in autumn 2024, the Larkfield shop will be a part of our Demelza distribution centre, meaning you can donate directly while browsing those pre-loved treasures.

With a focus on sustainability and plans to reduce waste, the centre will develop new in-house processes around textile recycling and renewable practices. This exciting venture also provides the opportunity to network with other charities that hold the same eco-friendly values. Together we can work towards a more sustainable future.

To make all of this possible we need the vital ingredients that are essential to any charity shop: donations and volunteers! Take a look through your home and consider anything that is no longer of use to you, but could be someone else's diamond find. Find out how you can donate here.

Our shop, processing and E-commerce teams are looking to expand their volunteer numbers. Whether it’s listing items on eBay, serving customers in our shop or processing donations, there’s a role for you! To find out more about volunteering at Demelza Larkfield please get in touch with our Voluntary Services Department by emailing volunteering@demelza.org.uk.
