Demelza’s new website shortlisted for international award

Demelza is delighted to announce that its new website has been shortlisted for an international industry award.

The site is one of just three, and the only UK-based one, which has been shortlisted in the best designed site category of the Umbraco Awards 2026.

The site was designed by our website agency YoYo Design and launched in October last year.

The new site has improved engagement and accessibility for users and ensures families, healthcare professionals and supporters can connect with Demelza more effectively.

The decision to redesign the site was part of Demelza’s five-year strategy to increase the use of digital technology across the organisation and the aim of the new site was to be more inclusive and intuitive.

The results of the awards will be announced in June at Codegarden in Copenhagen, a conference held by Umbraco, a content management system company.

Demelza’s Senior Marketing Manager, Emilie Bowes-Read, said: “Our new site is faster, more accessible and more user-friendly and we are absolutely delighted with the result.

“The best designed category celebrates websites which balance visual excellence with strong technical foundations, so we couldn’t be happier to see our partnership with YoYo recognised in this way.

“It was a truly collaborative effort, both internally across Demelza and of course working closely with our incredible developers Yoyo.”

"We couldn’t be happier to see our partnership with YoYo recognised in this way."
