Corporate partner commits to another three years after raising incredible £1million for Demelza

Berkeley Foundation raises £35,00 for Demelza

Demelza is delighted to announce that a longstanding corporate supporter will renew its partnership for another three years after raising an incredible £1million for the charity.

House builder Berkeley Capital has supported Demelza since 2012 and as well as raising vital funds, staff have also donated their time and volunteered across the charity.

With the support of the company’s charity arm, The Berkeley Foundation, the organisation has recently passed the £1million milestone in its fundraising for Demelza.

Fundraising efforts over the years have come in all shapes and sizes, including through wine tasting events, annual football and golf tournaments, office bake sales and via payroll giving.

The foundation financially matches the efforts of Berkeley colleagues who are taking on personal fundraising challenges as well as matching payroll giving donations and donating £500 for every day of colleagues volunteering.

As well as donations of toys, the company has also supplied furniture from some of its show homes to Demelza’s retail team to sell in shops.

Berkeley Capital has recently confirmed it will renew its partnership with Demelza for another three years, until April 2029.

Demelza’s Deputy CEO, Hayley Richardson, said: “It’s incredible to look back on the 14 years that Berkeley Capital has been supporting Demelza.

“Our corporate supporters are such an important part of our story and we are so grateful that the team at Berkeley has been on board with us for so long.

“Raising more than £1million over the 14 years is an incredible achievement and one we really want to celebrate.

“We would like to thank customers and clients of Berkeley Capital who regularly support their fundraising events as well as the staff who donate regularly via payroll giving.

“It’s a huge commitment for them to stay with us until 2029 and we are delighted they have committed to support us for years to come.”

There are many ways organisations can partner with Demelza and support its vital work, making a difference to children with serious or life-limiting conditions and their families.

“Raising more than £1million over 14 years is an incredible achievement and one we really want to celebrate.
