Everyday heroes

At Demelza, our volunteer drivers are everyday heroes.

They provide essential transport for vital journeys like hospital or clinical appointments, taking away the stress of the journey and enabling the parent or carer to focus on the child’s needs.

Whether it’s a one-off trip or a regular commitment, your time behind the wheel can ease stress for families, bring comfort and make a real difference.

What does the role involve?

  • Taking families to appointments, the hospice, or for some much-needed fun.
  • Delivering equipment, therapy bags and memory-making packs and treats to families.

"No longer did we have to worry about parking, petrol, or walking in the rain. All Zak wanted was to hold his daddy’s hand in the back of the car - and thanks to Demelza’s volunteer drivers, he could."
