Benefits, rewards and wellbeing
Every team member matters

At Demelza every team member matters
Whether you’re new to the team, or have grown with us from the start, we’re committed to everyone’s career development and, hand in hand with that, their wellbeing at work.
Balance is important to us. Demelza offers a supportive environment, the potential for flexible working, competitive salaries and generous holiday allowances.

As a Disability Confident Committed Employer we have committed to:
-
Ensure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible.
-
Communicating and promoting vacancies.
-
Offering an interview to disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for the job.
-
Anticipating and providing reasonable adjustments as required.
-
Supporting any existing employee who acquires a disability or long-term health condition, enabling them to stay in work.
-
At least one activity that will make a difference for disabled people.

Demelza offers a safe environment
We have a duty of care to ensure all our people share our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All job offers are therefore subject to the satisfactory receipt of references, new employee screening checks, verification of any professional qualifications and DBS clearance, relevant for their role. All staff and volunteers are also required to undertake regular safeguarding training relevant to their role.
We ensure Demelza is inclusive.
We don’t rest on our laurels. We’re committed to constantly striving to make all our policies and practices as inclusive as they can be.
We have been awarded the Silver Kent and Medway Workplace Wellbeing Award.
The programme, funded by Kent County Council and Medway Council, helps businesses focus on the wellbeing of their employees and become healthier places to work. At Demelza we’re committed to continual improvement, and sustaining this long into the future.
We offer free counselling through our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
Our EAP programme offers a 24/7 confidential emotional support helpline for all our staff members, accessible all year round, and access to face-to-face counselling, also available to partners and children. We also offer self-help tools including mini health checks, breathing techniques, meditation, workouts, and more.
