Welcome to Demelza South East London

Zyan enjoying art activities with his mum and Rachel in the art room at Demelza South East London.

Demelza South East London (SEL) has a huge range of fully accessible facilities including a sensory room and art room.

The hospice has specially adapted bedrooms, with specialist beds, cots and an ensuite bathroom, allowing children to visit for day care or stay for short breaks. Parents and siblings are welcome to stay in our family accommodation, complete with ensuite bathroom and lounge.

The hospice also has special bedrooms known as bereavement suites. After a child or young person has died, they can stay in one of these bedrooms for up to five days. They are equipped with special bedding and air-conditioning systems to keep a regulated temperature. Families can use this time to say goodbye to their child, surrounded by loved ones and with 24-hour support from the Demelza team if needed.

There is a small garden for families to enjoy as well as a kitchen providing delicious food to cater for all different tastes and specialist diets, using fresh vegetables from our kitchen garden.
