Demelza's Chief Executive, Lavinia Jarrett.

A message from our CEO, Lavinia Jarrett

When I joined Demelza in 1999 I was blown away by the support shown by our donors and supporters - without them Demelza simply wouldn't be here. Their generosity of spirit and of deed has never waned, not once, and during the pandemic we have been so grateful that they have not forgotten our work and the children, young people, and families we support now and those we want to reach.

As we have emerged into our (temporary) new normal, I also couldn't be prouder of the resilience, tenacity and creativity of the entire team at Demelza. As a charity supporting clinically vulnerable children and young people, the day-to-day running of the organisation couldn't simply go back to our pre-COVID-19 business as usual. We have had to adapt our services to ensure we continue to offer clinical, practical and emotional support to those who need it, whilst ensuring the safety of all families, staff and volunteers.
