Trusts Administration Assistant

Do you enjoy using a computer? This role would suit someone who has had administrative experience in small, public or private sector business.

Friends group leaders

Help to raise vital funds and awareness of Demelza by joining existing Friends Groups or establishing your own troupe of supporters.


Do you enjoy meeting new people? Join Demelza as an Ambassador and help spread the word about our vital work by delivering talks and presentations to our supporters. 
Demelza Hospice Care for Children, Kent

Event volunteers

Help out marshalling our fundraising events by giving out t-shirts, medals and goody bags as well as staffing water stations and money collection.

Collection pot coordinators

Give our collection pots a new home and collect them when full to help fund care for seriously ill children and their families.  

Community events fundraisers

Get involved in the action by helping out at our fantastic fundraising events.

Transition and Engagement Support Volunteer

Assist our young people (age 14-15) with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions as they move from children’s to adult services.

Sibling Volunteer

Help Demelza provide group activities and events for siblings of children using Demelza Hospice Care, or with bereaved siblings.

Support Group Volunteer

Assist our Family Support team in planning, organising and resourcing activities for different support groups, including parent’s groups and siblings groups..

Family Support Volunteer

Help Demelza families with both emotional and practical support as a part of our Family Support team.

Lifeguard Spotter Volunteer

Provide supervision at Demelza Kent’s Hydrotherapy pool. (Kent only)

Shop Retail Assistant

We’re in need of volunteers at our shops. Can you spare a few hours to help?

Pickers and packers

Help sort and distribute donated goods to our extensive shop network.

Ebay and Amazon assistants

Identify and list donated goods for online sales.


Manage, sort and inspect the incoming goods and donations.

Driver's mates

Working from our distribution centre in Sittingbourne, assist our drivers with loading and unloading of stock.

Public relations and media assistants

If you love all things media, including press releases, website and social media, then don’t miss out on this great opportunity to join our team.  


Calling all professionals or those with a passion for photography. Do you have time to spare to take photos at our events and photoshoots? 

Assistant gardeners 

If you have a passion for gardening this could be the role for you. Join our team and help to keep our gardens looking blooming great. 

Kitchen assistants

Assist our chefs to prepare and serve meals for our families, staff and volunteers.

Hospice receptionist

Join our team of volunteer receptionists to help greet families and visitors, answer the main phone line and undertake general reception tasks.

Volunteer recruitment assistants

Assist voluntary services with the recruitment of new volunteers.

Housekeeping and domestic helpers

Assist our housekeepers with essential day-to-day cleaning and laundry tasks.

Maintenance operatives

Help maintain facilities across all our hospices and shops. Weekday opportunities are available.
