Our care is as unique and individual as our families, so when we say no two days are the same at Demelza, we really mean it.

By paying for a day of care you are helping us to provide clinical and emotional support to some of the most vulnerable families within our communities. You are helping with their wellbeing, confidence, resilience, and empowering them to do their very best during the most difficult of times. You are helping them to smile, to laugh and offering the rare opportunity to relax. Mostly, you are creating memories for families who don’t know how long they will have together, and that is priceless.

Kent Hospice

A day of our care at our Kent Hospice costs £6,921

Our Sittingbourne hospice boasts many leisure facilities and activities, making it the perfect retreat, whether for day or short-term respite residential care. This includes our HydroPool, with warm water, hoists and ramps, which enable children and young people to swim with their family, which they are often otherwise unable to do in a public pool.

East Sussex

A day of care in East Sussex costs £1,255

Although there may not be any bedrooms at our East Sussex site, there is lots of space and activities to take part in. We have an activity room for arts and crafts, our games station, sensory play areas as well as a great outdoor space and a large kitchen for families to use.

Care at Home is also a huge feature of our work in East Sussex, allowing a child or young person to continue life as normal with as little disruption as possible. This gives families more flexibility, without having to travel and helps to retain a sense of control and independence.

Of course. If you can't decide a date, we will choose a date in the next calendar month for you.

We can accept a part-donation and hold this on your record however we will not be able to reserve a date for you until we have received your full donation. We’re incredibly grateful that you have decided to Pay for a Day at one of our hospices. In recognition, a framed certificate will be hung in our reception area on your donated date for everyone to see. We would also love for you to have a tour of the hospice so we can show you exactly what your donation is doing (subject to COVID-19 restrictions).

It will always be our aim to invite any Pay for a Day supporters to our hospice once a month so we can show you around our site. However, this will be subject to Demelza’s current COVID-19 restrictions and these may differ from Government Guidelines. If we cannot welcome you here in person we will be able to give you a virtual tour and offer you a virtual chat with one of the Demelza Team.
