Applications close on Sunday 10 October 2021, if you are successful, you will receive a phone call from the Events Team shortly after this date and will be invited to formally register.

London Marathon places are allocated using an application process. The Events Team review all applications once the application process has closed.

Yes – If you have your own place in the London Marathon, we would be delighted if you were able to join #TeamDemelza and raise funds for your local children's hospice. Contact the Events Team on eventbookings@demelza.org.uk to find out more. 


All Demelza runners will receive:

- Dedicated support from the Events Team to help with all of your fundraising queries

- A Dotty Demelza running vest to make you stand out from the crowd

- An opportunity to visit either the Kent or South East London hospice to see where your fundraising goes 


Costs (if application is successful)
Registration fee: £50.00 
Minimum fundraising: £2000.00* (not including gift aid)

*Please note that a portion of your fundraising will need to be received prior to the event. This information will be available when you are offered a Demelza Place. 

When fundraising, we would advise that you set up a JustGiving page. It is the most effective way for you to fundraise! If you have any questions about this, please get in touch. 

The difference you could make by fundraising for Demelza

£50 could pay for a cast of a child’s hand or foot for a family to treasure forever. 

£100 could pay for a support group of a child with a serious or terminal condition or a member of their family.

£200 could cover the average cost of a family going through the referral process to access vital care and support from Demelza.

£840 could cover the cost of a child or young person’s overnight stay at one of our children’s hospices.

£2000 could pay for a TIZ music festival for young people supported by Demelza and their families.
