First stop, South Grange; a beautiful Plant Society members’ garden with a wide variety of trees, shrubs, perennials and pots. Step inside to see raised vegetable beds, a wildlife pond, a living gazebo, soft fruit cage, an orchard and woodland area. Time for tea? Refreshments will be served here throughout the day. Why not take a moment to view the plants for sale. All profits will come directly to Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
Once you’re ready to move on, walk a few steps down the road and stumble across Roseview. Follow the paths through the garden at a leisurely pace and find a seat to sit awhile or bump into a chicken or a duck. Spot the recycled and the up cycled, hear birds and bees and see insects foraging.
Next stop, The Old Rose Nursery. Walk next door to this family-owned business which has served Kent and East Sussex since 1972; a rose specialist, they stock a wide variety of roses including China, Climbing, Delbard, Hybrid Perpetual and Renaissance Roses.
