Bubble Rush - Avery Hill

Bubble Rush is a fun run like no other! You’ll start in a sea of foam, and as you go around the course you’ll encounter four Bubble Stations pumping out different coloured bubbles.

For the second year Bubble Rush is returning to Avery Hill Park and we would love for you to join us! There’s no place like foam!

Bubble Rush is a fun run like no other! You’ll start in a sea of foam, and as you go around the course you’ll encounter four Bubble Stations pumping out different coloured bubbles.

Bubble Rush is open to everyone!

The course is pushchair and wheelchair-friendly, and there’s no minimum age limit, so the whole family can take part.  The race isn’t timed – so you can run, walk, jog or toddle around the course and enjoy the colourful bubbles and party atmosphere.

This year, we would like to raise even more! There's no official fundraising target, but we ask all of our participants to try and raise a minimum of £15. By doing what you can, you'll help Demelza to provide specialist care and emotional support for children with terminal conditions and their loved ones.

What's Included:
- A 5km fun run, it is a 2.5km route so you can choose to run it once if you would prefer! 
- Run through walls of 4ft bubbles along the route
- Live entertainment throughout the day 
- A free Bubble Rush t-shirt and medal
 
Important Information


Location 
Please ensure that you arrive at Avery Hill Park with plenty of time before your wave time. The postcode for Avery Hill Park is SE9 2EU. 

The Event Village is located next to the play park and the cafe. 

Wave Numbers and Times 
Your wave number and time is set and cannot be altered, these are detailed on your letter which was sent with your t-shirts and wristbands. 

The wristband colours are as follows: 
- Wave 1 at 10am: RED 
- Wave 2 at 11am: BLUE
- Wave 3 at 12pm: GREEN

Wristbands
For children, please write the mobile number of an adult in your party on the inside of their wristbands. All participants must wear their wristband to be able to take part in the event.

You will not need to register when you arrive as you already have your wristbands and t-shirts which indicate that you have tickets and which wave you are in.

Event Packs
If you booked before Monday 10 June then your packs will arrive in the post, if you have not received these by Wednesday 3 July please get in touch with the events team on: eventbookings@demelza.org.uk

If you booked after Monday 10 June then you will need to collect your pack on the day from the Information Tent. 

Parking 
There is no official event parking at Avery Hill Park, please use the public car parking that is available. Please also use public transport and car share wherever possible. 

Bags
We will not have a bag drop at the event, we will however have drawstring bags available for a small donation. 

Donations
There will be a donation station at the event, so if you have had a big clear out, please bring these items with you and our wonderful retail team will be able to take this for you. 

We know you have been busy fundraising, so you will be also be able to drop off your fundraising at the donation station too. 

Photography 
Photos and videos will be taken on the day, as per our terms and conditions, these will be used on our social media and for future promotion. If you don’t wish your images to be used, please speak to a member of staff in the information tent before you start.

Fundraising Information

Remember, when you signed up you agreed to try and raise £15 per person, and with two weeks to go, you still have plenty of time to start your fundraising if you haven’t already!

By each person raising £15, this will help Demelza Hospice Care for Children to provide specialist care and emotional support for children with terminal conditions and their loved ones, so they can enjoy their time together as a family, for as long as they have.

Fundraising Competition Terms and Conditions
- The winner of the fundraising competition will be announced on the Facebook Event Page on Monday 29 July. 
- If you are fundraising as a part of a group and are the top fundraisers your total fundraising will be split the amount of people within the team and the prize will be allocated to the individual who set up the page. 
- The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative. 
- Donations received by Sunday 21 July will be included in the competition, any donations received after this date will not be counted towards to the competition.
