If you're sat there wondering how can you recycle a Christmas tree once the festivities are over, charity Christmas tree recycling is a hassle free and sustainable choice.

Demelza are here to help. For a donation of your choice (we recommend £15 per tree), we will collect your real Christmas tree, from outside your home between 6 – 8 January 2022 and recycle it on your behalf.

We’ll be operating safely within the latest government guidelines and wearing PPE at all times; collections are completely contactless, simply leave your tree outside your house by 8am on Thursday 6 January - you don’t even need to be home when we arrive for collection.

How can you recycle a Christmas tree?

A woman carries a Christmas tree on her shoulder, wearing a Demelza top and blue jeans.

Our Head Gardener, Sam, is here to tell you exactly how can you recycle a Christmas tree: “Some of the Christmas trees that are collected in Medway through Demelza’s Tree-cycling project will be recycled around the gardens at our Sittingbourne hospice. They’ll be used for topping up bark pathways, mulching underneath trees and hedges, some will be mixed in with our compost heaps, all going back into the soil.”
