Thanks to our incredible supporters and local community we raised just over £27,000 following our Bereavement Suite Appeal back in May.  This amount was raised to refurbish our Bereavement Suites in our hospice in Eltham, South East London which are in desperate need of renovation and modernisation. We now need your help to make this happen

We are currently working with Gabrielle Blackman from BBC1’s DIY SOS to design the new look and feel of the rooms which will be welcoming, comfortable, and incorporate all the necessary facilities. Work on the rooms will take place from 3 March 2020 and we have two weeks to complete all the work!

We are looking for people who may be able to help with electrics, plastering, decorating, plumbing, carpentry and floor fitting. We also need items such as bespoke wooden blinds for our windows, kitchen style units, and hand washing basins.

The death of a child will always be heart breaking, Demelza sadly can’t change that, but we can help to support families as much as possible during this distressing time in our Bereavement Suites. Having this private space to say goodbye and spend time together as a family is a crucial first step in the grieving process. Through different therapies, memory making and the space and support we offer, our team will be there to help, in whatever way the family needs .

If you can help in any way please contact Victoria Burns on 01795 845227 or email victoria.burns@demelza.org.uk.

Thank you for your support.
