Who are the Demelza Family Support team?
We are a team of Social Workers and Family Support Workers, who provide information, advice, and emotional and practical support to children, young people, and their families during times of change or emotional upset. We offer individual and/or group work to children and young people, parents and grandparents, helping them to build on their personal strengths and therefore feel more resilient and able to cope with their day to day challenges.
Our work involves the whole family; we also run support groups for brothers and sisters (siblings). We recognise that being a sibling of a child or young person with a serious illness can often feel lonely, and can sometimes means experiencing various problems at school. We have two different sibling groups, for more information, please click on the below links.
