About Susan

Susan comes from a clinical background, having qualifications in both paediatric and adult nursing. She recently retired from her work for the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman in which she recruited NHS professionals to advise the Ombudsman and line-managed a team of clinicians. In her professional career, Susan was adamant that families deserve an honest professional response to a complaint and to be informed of both what happened and what should have happened in line with evidence-based practice. Her particular interest is in bereavement care.
Susan is also a trustee and Vice Chair of the United Westminster Greycoat Foundation and a Governor of both Greycoat Hospital School and St Matthew’s, Westminster, Church of England Infant and Junior School where she is Chair of the Finance and Premises Committee.
Susan is married to a bishop in the Church of England and has two grown up children.
