About Rory
Rory began his career as a Registered Children’s Nurse at King’s College Hospital, London, where he provided care for children in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), High Dependency Unit (HDU), and Accident & Emergency (A&E). During the pandemic, he moved into the private sector, managing Covid Testing and Vaccination Clinics across London - a particularly demanding period.
Following a career shift, he entered the charity sector, applying his skills to face-to-face fundraising for prominent organisations such as the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) and BlueCross. He successfully built a dedicated team in Kent, committed to supporting these charities.
Currently, he leads the Regional Recruitment Team for a Superior Healthcare, overseeing operations across Essex, Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and further afield. They provide healthcare assistants and nurses to children, young people, and adults living at home with complex care needs. This role has allowed Rory to blend his healthcare experience with business management expertise.
Residing in the sunny seaside town of Whitstable, Rory is a proud volunteer and advocate for Humanists UK. Additionally, he plays as a drummer in multiple bands across Kent. His diverse background includes roles as a nanny, football coach, and music teacher, and now a part of Demelza.
