Susan Lowson

Susan comes from a clinical background, having qualifications in both paediatric and adult nursing. Over the past 16 years, she has worked for the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman. She recruits NHS professionals to advise the Ombudsman and line manages the clinicians. Susan is adamant that families deserve an honest professional response to their complaint and to be informed of both what happened and what should have happened in line with evidence-based practice. Her particular interest is in bereavement care. 
 
Susan is also a Trustee (and soon-to-be Chair) of the Greycoat Hospital Foundation and is a Governor of St Matthews Infant and Junior School in London where she is Chair of the Finance and Premises Committee. 
 
Susan is married to a Bishop in the Church of England and has two grown up children.
