Recently some of the Demelza children and their families enjoyed some festive fun when they were invited to Eastwell Manor, Ashford, to enjoy ice skating.
The ice rink at the Champneys hotel and spa opened towards the end of November and remains in place until January 2. Champneys invited families from Demelza Hospice Care for Children to go along and get into the festive spirit – having supported the charity throughout 2018.
Jennie Steer, Demelza’s referrals and service engagement manager, said: “Our families had a lovely time and we’d like to say a big thank you to Champneys and Eastwell Manor. The staff were fantastic and did all they could to ensure our children, their brothers and sisters and their parents had a lovely time.”
Sarah Kemsley, Head of Demelza’s Major Donor relationship team, added: “This was such a fun treat for our children and their families. We’re very grateful to Champneys and Eastwell Manor for the invitation and also for their continued support which makes a big difference to the support we are able to offer.”
Thank you to Eastwell Manor for this wonderful experience.
The Eastwell Manor ice rink is open Monday-Thursday 2pm–8pm and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from noon until 6pm.
