TV presenter Fred Dinenage recently visited Demelza’s Kent hospice in Sittingbourne and met children, families and staff.
During his visit on Monday 29th October, Fred, who presents ITV’s Meridian TV news each weekday evening, had a tour of the hospice and spoke with families about how support from Demelza makes a difference.
He also gave a motivational talk to staff, urging them to keep up the good work.
He told the Demelza team: “You do amazing things for young people. This is my first visit to Demelza and I was chuffed to be asked. What you do is fantastic and I am so full of admiration for you.”
Fred Dinenage MBE is a TV presenter, broadcaster and author who TV career has spanned more than 50 years. He is possibly best known for the How TV series he presented between 1966 and 1981.
