Candyfloss, cakes and colourful characters put smiles on the faces of all of those who attended a summer family fun day for children with terminal and serious conditions and their families.
The event was for families who use services provided by Demelza Hospice Care for Children and took place at the Metrogas Social Club in Avery Hill Road, New Eltham.
The day was supported by Eltham Fire Station who sent an appliance and firefighters along and Lewisham Police Station who sent two officers on horseback – both much to the delight of the children attending.
Attractions also included a coconut shy, tombolas, a dance demonstration, a bouncy castle, a treasure hunt, strawberries and cream, cakes, games and stalls. Also providing entertainment was a Power Ranger, The Little Mermaid and Pocahontas.
The event raised more than £1,100 which will help Demelza to continue to provide vital support to children and their families.
There are lots of ways to fundraise for Demelza and with your support Demelza can continue to help create precious memories for terminally ill children and their families-you can find out more on our Fundraise for us page.
