What Christmas is like at a children's hospice

For most of us, Christmas is a time to be with family.
But as the nation settles down for The Queen’s Speech, vital work continues at Demelza.
At Demelza Kent nurses will be providing round-the-clock care to seriously babies, children, and young people and their families.
Debbie McSwiney, Care Services Lead – Kent who is working on Christmas Day said: “Demelza Kent is in full operation Christmas mode the trees and decks are all up and looking stunning, the children’s stocking are hanging up ready for a visit from Santa.
“Christmas is a very special time for my team and I as we have the pleasure of working and being alongside our families that are with us this Christmas – Demelza care team are ready to make it an extra special this year.”
