More than 300 people attended Demelza's annual Candlelight Walk on Sunday (27 November),

Thirteen singers from Demelza’s part of the London Hospices Choir sang their version of The Living Years (bidding for Christmas Number 1) and members of Chatham Seventh Adventist Church sang carols and did readings

There was a festive market, arts and crafts and refreshments for sale and the Mayor of Sittingbourne, Councillor Lesley Ingham judged the best dressed elf competition.

Father Christmas and his elves met walkers half way around the 2.5k route and there was also a chance to meet the big man himself afterwards in his grotto.

Head of Events, Emma Middleton said: “Thank you so much to everyone who came to our Candlelight Walk and festive market – we hope it helped put you in the Christmas spirit! It was lovely to see so many people here enjoying the entertainment. See you next year!”
