Crafty card making for Royal Carnival entry

03 June 2016
Children who are supported by Demelza have been getting creative as part of the charity’s entry into this year’s Eastbourne Sunshine Carnival.

The charity has chosen a vintage tea party theme for their float and held a craft day to help decorate it.

Five children aged six to 13 took part in the craft day on Tuesday (31 May) at Hailsham East Children’s Centre making birthday cards to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

A music session was also organised by Belltree Music Therapy Centre and there was a photobooth, sensory play and lots of cake.

The Eastbourne Sunshine Carnival will take place on the Seafront on Saturday 11 June. More than 1,500 walkers are expected to take part with some 25,000 fans and supporters there to cheer them on.
