Many businesses and organisations have Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) programmes.

By choosing to support Demelza you enable us to give expert care and support to those who need it. You also benefit from having a cause your staff can unite around, and opportunities for professional development.

We are grateful for all our supporters, who help us carry out our much-needed work for children and young people with serious or life-limiting conditions.

We help you help us, and we know that it’s important to you that the business benefits as much as Demelza.

  • We offer personal support and your experienced Demelza account manager can work with you to create a bespoke plan for your CSR/ESG and staff engagement.
  • We help to raise your profile and provide media coverage of your activities through the local press, social media, and our website and publications.
  • We’re full of great ideas to help you fundraise for Demelza – and have fun doing so. If you need inspiration, we’re here.
  • You can see the difference you make to Demelza by meeting our families during virtual tours of our hospices
  • Staff can volunteer for us, building their own skills and supporting people who need them the most.
  • And we say thank you with our annual Demelza Supporter Awards.

Partnerships

Corporate partnerships are a great way for you to align yourself with a charity that means something to your organisation and its people. We work with you to create a strategy for your CSR/ESG programme. Your dedicated account manager will discuss your objectives and will be there every step of the way to guide you and help you in any way they can.

Fundraising

Many organisations choose to financially support our work. Corporate philanthropy and employee fundraising initiatives help us to deliver expert care and emotional support to families in need. We promise that the money you and your staff raise will be spent on expert clinical care and support for children with serious or terminal conditions and their loved ones.

Payroll giving

Payroll Giving is a way of giving money to charity without paying tax on it. It’s a really simple way of donating to Demelza, as it simply comes out of your PAYE every month. Payroll giving is easy to set up, and helps Demelza get regular income in a way that is also tax efficient for you and your colleagues.

Corporate and staff volunteering

Many businesses give their staff volunteering days or time off for volunteering. Many volunteers love it so much they stay with us for the long term. Your employees can really make a difference by working with us at our charity shops or at our offices and care sites in Kent, South East London and East Sussex. Whether it’s a one-off volunteering day or a longer-term commitment, we would love you to spend time with us.

Pro bono work

Businesses and organisations have expertise and experience that Demelza would benefit from. This might include marketing, auditing, project management or another area of excellence that your business can provide. We can work with you as partners to identify opportunities that both benefit our children and young people, and offer personal and professional development opportunities to staff.

Donating goods and sustainability

Every year our charity shops raise £2.8 million that helps us provide our vital services. Offices often have items that are surplus to requirements, that can be donated to Demelza to sell and raise vital funds. This might include computing equipment, office furniture, stationery, or staff may donate work clothes. In doing so, you will be helping Demelza and our communities to be more sustainable by reducing CO2 emissions and preventing items from going to landfill.
