Our top five charity shops for parking

If you’re yet to visit our charity shops you might be wondering about the parking facilities available to you if you’re planning to travel to us by car. We’ve shortlisted our top five shops with easy-access parking facilities to make your visit to us even simpler.

Hempstead Valley

Our newest bargain-filled charity shop in Gillingham offers plenty of free parking, with a maximum stay of up to six hours – that’s more than enough time to shop until you drop and enjoy a spot of lunch at The Venue.

You can find wider bays for blue badge holders along with Parent and Toddler bays in the undercover car parks below Sainsbury’s and in the multi-story car park on levels 1 and 3, and in the outside Red and Yellow car parks - all of which are just a short walk away from Demelza's Hempstead Valley Charity Shop.

Maidstone Shopping Outlet

The Maidstone Shopping Outlet, which offers everything from furniture and clothing to books and accessories, is quietly tucked away at the far end of the Sandling Road Car Park within our Maidstone Distribution Centre. Limited free parking is available to our shoppers, within the yellow criss-cross grid directly outside the entrance (to the right of the loading bay).

Should you arrive and not be able park within our designated area, Sandling Road Car Park holds over 200 spaces, with 11 reserved for blue badge holders and charges £1.10 for a one hour stay.

Speed up the payment process with cashless parking via the RingGo app, using location Code: 21232. (Remember, when using RingGo, you may wish to opt out of receiving SMS confirmations or session expiry messages as these are charged at 20p per text).

Parking up here will also put you at a short stroll away from our charity shop in the Royal Star Arcade Shopping Centre on Maidstone High Street.

Petts Wood

Located in Bromley, and home to a specialised children’s area, Demelza’s Petts Wood Charity Shop is the perfect go-to for stocking fillers and gifts for your little ones this Christmas.

Station Square holds 60 car parking spaces in total, with some situated directly outside the shop entrance and charges just 80p for every hour you stay.

You can pay for your parking via the traditional pay and display machines or via the RingGo cashless parking app, using the location code: 6071.

Just swinging by to drop off your donations? We have rear access to the shop for a quick drop-and-dash. Please do check what you can and can't donate on our What You Can Donate page before making your journey.

Herne Bay Books & Media

For every book buff, music lover and film fanatic our Herne Bay Books & Media Charity Shop is the perfect spot. Get lost in our selection of collectable books and classic movies or search through our treasure trove of vinyl records, we promise you won’t be disappointed.

If you’re travelling to us by car, you’ll be pleased to know that the High Street offers free on-road parking (Monday to Saturday, no return within one hour). If you’re wanting to make the most of what the seaside town has to offer, there is ample pay and display parking available a short walk away near the seafront, with charges starting from around £1.40 per hour.

Tonbridge

Home to designer labels such as Ted baker, Armani Exchange and Valentino as well as popular high street brands Monsoon, Topshop and Levi to name but a few, you’ll be sure to find a second-hand bargain in our Tonbridge Charity Shop.

Sitting behind the High Street you’ll find a large Sainsbury’s and Angel Car Park West. Angel Car Park West offers secure, CCTV monitored off-street parking and well sized spaces from 70p for a 30-minute stay, up to a maximum stay of four hours. From here it’s a short four-minute walk to our charity shop and you can even grab a Costa Coffee on the way so don’t forget your re-usable flask!

For contactless, cashless parking use location Code: 51180, on the RingGo app.
