Demelza would like to say an enormous thank you to Kent Reliance, for supporting us through their charity partnership over the past four years and beyond.
Kent Reliance has supported Demelza for many years with various fundraising initiatives since we opened our doors in 1998. In that time, they have donated over £70,000. These funds are vital to our hospices and could fund two highly trained, specialist nurses for an entire year.
Beyond supporting Demelza financially, the dedicated team at Kent Reliance have also supported us by volunteering in our retail warehouse in Maidstone and our hospices. In 2017 the team joined us to help with the creation of the sensory garden at our Kent hospice.
In 2018 Kent Reliance launched their Demelza Children’s Account and officially joined us as a corporate partner. From the children’s savings account Demelza receives a substantial annual donation, equivalent to 0.25% of the total average balances held in these accounts – equating to somewhere in the region of an incredible £15,000 a year.
Supporting the local community
Last year saw Kent Reliance announce another new partnership, sponsoring Kent’s leading female football academy, XL@Football. This new partnership saw the valuable space on the team match day kits, donated to Demelza – providing us with really valuable awareness. The enthusiastic players and coaches have also stepped up to support our cause, donating over 90 gifts from our Christmas Wish List to the children and families who access our services.

Your Little Warrior Sponsors
We are thrilled that Kent Reliance is sponsoring our brand new Little Warrior event. The family-friendly, inclusive fun run taking place in Dunorlan Park, Tunbridge Wells on Sunday 12 June, is the perfect event to bring our wonderful community together. The course will see participants tackle their way through various activity zones, including a slip and slide and giant ball bit, with accessible options available for wheelchair and pushchair users.
