Metropolitan Volunteer Police Cadets from across the South East of London visited the Demelza's hospice in Eltham on Saturday November 14 to hand over a cheque for £1,780.
The police cadets from Bexley, Southwark, Lambeth North and South, Lewisham, Greenwich, Croydon and Bromley boroughs raised the cash by selling tickets to family and friends to come along and watch the Celebration Parade at Horseguards Parade in central London last June.
Cadet Units from the South East chose to donate the money they raised to Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
The cadets were taken on a tour of the hospice to view the facilities such as state of the art accommodation for both children and families, music sensory room, computer room and wet play area.
PC Jeff Moorey, who has been running the cadet scheme in Bexley for over eight years said: 'They have already started discussing how they can raise more funds and volunteer their time to support the hospice.'
