Vulcan riders roar into Demelza

The siblings of children being cared for at Demelza's hospice in Sittingbourne were given an exciting treat at the weekend.

Members of the south east section of the Vulcan Riders Association roared into the facility in Bobbing near Sittingbourne on Saturday (October 3).

Their visit saw the siblings given a chance to sit on the Kawasaki Vulcan motorbikes and have their photos taken.

The group, whose members come from across the South East including Sussex, Essex and Kent, have been fundraising for Demelza over the past year.

Their efforts included auctioning off a book one of their members had published and collections at events.

They presented a cheque for £1,424 to area fundraising manager Hayley Richardson.

Hayley Richardson said: 'All of the children love to see the bikers up at the house and we are truly grateful for this amazing donation and the time that they have given up to visit us.'
