Demelza is delighted that two groups rode from Lands End to John O'Groats to raise money for us.
A group of friends, otherwise known as the Flying Turtle Society, raised £8,000 following the cycle ride in May.
Medway-based Martin Lanning, Paul Cozens and Martin Lynch completed the cycle ride in May in aid of Demelza and Preston Skreens.
Steve Fautley accompanied the trio in a support vehicle.
They all met while working together on the Isle of Sheppey.
Area fundraising manager, Hayley Richardson was presented with a cheque for £4,000 from the trio on September 26.
Martin Lanning said 'The cycle trip from John O' Groats to Land's End was for all of us who took part an awesome experience and one which (I think?!) we all thoroughly enjoyed.
'It just put the icing on the cake to know that, as a result of our efforts, we've been able to contribute in some small way to two such very worthwhile charities.'
And in July a husband and wife team did the same ride for Demelza and Sittingboure Sea Cadets.
James and Donna Hartridge, from Sittingbourne, raised just over £1,000 for Demelza.
