London Fashion Week event in aid of Demelza

The champagne was flowing, the jewellery dazzling and the clothes gorgeous.

Portal Restaurant and Bar in Clerkenwell was the venue for Demelza's fashion show to celebrate 25 years of London Fashion Week.

Models used the restaurant as a catwalk to showcase clothes from Fenn Wright Manson and jewellery from Boodles.

Leandro Pacheco created a special red Demelza cocktail for the evening to complement the savoury and sweet canapes being served.

All the guests were entered into a draw with prizes including dinner for six at the restaurant, a voucher for Fenn Wright Manson and a diamond pendant from Boodles.

Around 100 people attended the event on Tuesday (September 22)and it is hoped the evening will raise enough to pay for one weeks respite care for a family at Demelza.

THE DEMELZA COCKTAIL

50ml Russian Standard vodka
10ml sugar syrup
6 fresh raspberries
1/2 peeled pear
7 tarragon leaves

Method:

Chop the pear into little pieces and put it into a shaker with the raspberries, sugar and tarragon.
Muddle and add the vodka.
Fill shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and fine strain with a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a raspberry and a tarragon leaf.
