Each child who visits Demelza South East London has access to their own bedroom, with a specialist bed or cot and ensuite bathroom. The hospice also has specially adapted bedrooms, designed to enable an enhanced level of independence for young people staying with us. Parents and siblings are welcome to stay in our family accommodation, complete with kitchenette, ensuite bathroom and lounge.
Demelza kitchen staff pride themselves in providing delicious food to cater for all different tastes and specialist diets including vegetarian, halal and much more.
Children, young people and their families staying at Demelza South East London also have access to networked computers, fitted with special needs equipment such as touch screens and adjustable tables. All the computers have parental control software installed.
In 2017 corporate supporter Osborne Construction worked tirelessly over 14 days to transform Demelza South East London as part of its Space to Grow building project.

Our sensory room offers children a safe and colourful environment for play, therapy and relaxation. The therapeutic space has a variety of equipment to stimulate and develop a person's senses through special lighting, music, and objects.
Art room
The perfect setting for children and siblings to enjoy messy play, make cards, draw pictures and create artwork during memory making or art therapy.
Lounge Room
This multi-purpose room is the hub of the hospice, and is a space where children, young people and families can relax, play, read, watch television and enjoy time with Demelza care and nursing staff.
